  7. D-PATCH Disk and File System Binary Editor is a full-screen binary editor for
  8. files and file systems. Like all Analysis Synthesis Consulting Inc. tools,
  9. D-PATCH has a user-configurable menu and single key operation with pop-ups and
  10. windowing. D-PATCH allows you to edit non-text files and fix files that have
  11. garbage in them. It is much easier to use than ADB because of its full-screen
  12. display and its intuitive interface. Display modes include HEX, ASCII, I-Node
  13. format, and Super-block format. The latter two can be used for repairing
  14. damaged file systems which are beyond the capability of ``FSCK.'' In all modes,
  15. the data displayed on the screen can be overtyped, just as with a conventional
  16. text editor. The menu facilities allow the selection of modes, files, and a
  17. variety of other options.
